ASL Group gobbles up third acquisition in 18 months
Managed print provider snaps up East Midlands document management specialist
Managed print provider ASL Group has acquired Nottingham-based Reprotec, one week after securing new private equity backing.
ASL claimed that Reprotec is the largest independent office kit supplier in the East Midlands and that purchasing the company allows it to extend its reach nationally.
Reprotec was established in 1981 and specialises in document management solutions and serves both the public and private sectors across the East Midlands.
It bills itself as the largest provider of colour photocopiers to schools and colleges in that region.
This is the third acquisition for ASL in 18 months - after taking over ICA and Geerings Digital last year - and its tenth in the past 11 years.
"We are delighted to welcome Reprotec on board," stated Mark Garius, ASL MD.
"They have established a fantastic reputation over the past 30 years for providing exceptional service to the public sector and commercial clients.
"Reprotec pride themselves on placing their customers' needs at the front of their trading practices which our core values entirely. We look forward to working with their well-established service base in the East Midlands and building on its success."
Nick Brown, sales director of Reprotec, stated: "We have been discussing this opportunity with ASL for a while and are very happy that we have chosen a company who will continue to maintain the values and customer service levels that Reprotec's customers expect moving forward, whilst giving them access to further services."
