Cisco teases 'radically redesigned' MSP partner programme

Networking giant says revamped programme is simpler for partners

Cisco says it has "radically redesigned" its Cloud and Managed Service Providers Programme to boost profitability for MSPs working in the commercial and SMB markets.

In a blog post Cisco's director of worldwide partner organisation Grace Lo said the new programme is simpler to qualify for, with partners now able to "start seeing the benefits right away".

Cisco will host a Webex conference next week to run through the rebooted programme, but Lo offered an insight into some of the changes.

"Above all, this programme helps you create and bring new services to market more quickly," she said.

"You get competitive, predictable pricing; training and assets to help you become more efficient and market your services; and other benefits that help you capture recurring revenue and build long-term relationships.

"In short, we've made it simpler for MSPs to onboard and immediately start increasing growth opportunities in both the Commercial and small and mid-size markets."

Lo added that the Express tier of the programme (the lowest of three) has also been "redesigned" to help partners at the start of their managed services journey. Partners now only need to offer one Cisco managed service to qualify for this tier.

The programme has also absorbed the Meraki programme, with Meraki MSP Select partners now joining.

Lo said that marketing cash is also a "big plus" of the new iteration.
