What are the opportunities for the channel with the growth of AI?

Encryption, privacy, & data protection: a balancing act

This white paper examines the risk posed by encrypted threats; considers the business, privacy, and security implications of managing that risk; and presents constructive measures for balancing security needs with employee privacy rights. In the end, the best way for IT leadership to ensure the rights of the individual employee is to protect the organization from threats and attacks.

How do MSPs really feel the channel will shape up by 2020?

      On borrowed time?

Cybercrime has become a huge part of our economy and it is a topic that is getting more and more attention in the news media. The cybercriminal stories making headlines involve big companies such as British Airways and Marriott etc. However, smaller companies are just as susceptible to cyber- attacks. Often these attacks are much more damaging to smaller businesses, sometimes forcing them to shut down completely. One report from Verizon claims that 43% of email attacks target SMBs.

Bosses from four resellers and MSPs that have won accolades for creating a top company culture will be revealing their secret sauce at the CRN Channel Conference MSP next week.

The new generation of workers entering the workforce have been likened to consumers who know more about the companies they are applying for than ever.

Creating a strong brand online and on social media, as well as a vibrant company culture, is therefore crucial, particularly as the skills shortage continues to bite.

Top execs from a quartet of channel firms that have been recognised for their ability to attract and retain top talent will be spilling their secrets during a panel session at the event, which MSPs and resellers can register to attend free of charge here.

The panel will comprise:

Kate Wood, culture director, Chess ICT (named the Sunday Times Best Company to Work for 2018)

Mike Danson, CEO, Natilik (named Best Workplace in Tech 2019 by Great Place to Work UK)

Lillie Davies, HR business partner, Softcat (named Best Company to Work For 2019, Thames Valley Magazine)

Paul Shannon, CEO of ANS (named the Sunday Times 27th Best Company to Work for in 2019).

Held next Wednesday in central London, the CRN Channel Conference MSP boasts an unrivalled line-up of keynotes and panels aimed at helping MSPs get in shape for the 2020s.

Among the other event highlights, award-winning cybersecurity blogger Graham Cluley will be exploring how MSPs can build a compelling narrative around cybersecurity.

Former England rugby fly-half Andy Gomarsall will also be on hand to talk about opportunities for MSPs around sustainable tech.

Back by popular demand, the CEO and CTO of ANS will also be laying out the Manchester-based firm's (almost overnight) reinvention from reseller to cloud services provider.

MSP bosses will also have the opportunity to quiz private equity experts on how they can maximise the value of their business during a panel discussion, with how to generate more business through G-Cloud among the other topics that will be covered on the day.

See here for the full agenda.
