Newly combined NTT business appoints new UK boss

Paolo Masselli steps up from role as tech giant's chief go-to-market practices officer

NTT Ltd has installed Paolo Masselli in the newly minted role of chief executive for the UK and Ireland.

Masselli (pictured) previously held the role of NTT Ltd's chief go-to-market practices officer and once headed NTT subsidiary Britehouse.

He will be responsible for driving growth in the region and will report directly to global CEO Jason Goodall.

Earlier this year, NTT announced the merging of the majority of its subsidiary companies into a goliath with revenues of $11bn, including NTT Communications, NTT Security and Dimension Data - of which Goodall was the CEO.

Japan-based NTT claims that this massive merger will see 40,000 people across 28 countries united under NTT Ltd and that the remainder of the 28 subsidiary companies will be combined over a phased period. These will include NTT Global Networks, NTT Com CIS and recently acquired WhiteHat Security.

"We're excited to see all these brands come together as NTT Ltd today," said Goodall.

"With the UK being one of the world's largest technology markets, and our new global headquarters for NTT Ltd being established in London, we require transformational leaders to take us into our new era.

"Paolo's deep industry expertise and extensive leadership experience make him the perfect fit to lead the company in the UK&I."

Masselli said of his appointment: "It's an honour to be leading NTT Ltd in the UK and Ireland.

"NTT is such a great, well-respected brand, doing amazing things for its clients and society.

"I am excited by our ability to deliver a wider range of industry solutions for our clients, positioning the UK&I region at the forefront of the technology revolution. Together we can do great things."
