Onecom kick-starts M&A plan with new appointment
Appointment comes in wake of £100m investment specifically for M&A
Onecom is following through on its inorganic growth plans by appointing Christian Craggs as its first director of M&A and strategy.
Craggs will report directly to CEO Ben Dowd and his new role will involve shaping the overall business strategy for the comms VAR and leading all M&A transactions.
He comes to the position after a four-year stint as managing director of finance firm Oakley Advisory, and has also held senior strategy and development roles at 02.
Hampshire-based Onecom received a £100m war chest from private equity firm LDC in July in order to aid its organic and inorganic growth plans. This came on the heels of a £30m injection in April.
In its most recently published financial report, Onecom has seen revenue rise 22.5 per cent to £87m for its year ending 31 December 2018.
"We're delighted to welcome Christian to Onecom; he's highly respected in his field and brings with him a strong track record from Oakley Advisory where he was able to make a significant impact in relatively short order," stated CEO Dowd.
"As part of the LDC transaction, he worked closely with Onecom over the last year so he has a good understanding of our business and team.
"I'm confident that the proven expertise he brings to his new role will make him instrumental to Onecom at a hugely exciting point in our company's history."
