Tech Data launches IoT practice for partners with Microsoft and Intel
Distributor aims to help partners monetise IoT and analytics
Tech Data has launched an analytics and internet of things (IoT) "practice builder" which it says will help partners build out their offerings.
The programme, which is sponsored by Microsoft and Intel, is designed to help partners develop solutions and monetise the technology.
Elliet Hall-Jones, IoT business development manager at Tech Data UK, said: "This is an end-to-end programme that starts with the workshop and takes the partner through to the sale and delivery of solutions.
"We can build pretty much any solution, and we will go through the whole proposition, identifying the opportunity and looking at what technologies and products are required, bringing all of that together and articulating the value and services that can be offered to the end customer.
"The end goal is to show the partner how to accelerate and grow a profitable business model from selling an IoT solution."
Partners are invited to attend strategic development workshops, where Tech Data will talk partners through 15 IoT solutions that it has developed, while partners can also talk through their own proposals with Tech Data solutions experts.
Tech Data says the practice has already been launched in other countries around Europe by its 45-strong IoT solutions team.
