PCM UK managing director to depart
Donavan Hutchinson says he will depart PCM UK having launched the business in 2017
PCM UK's managing director Donavan Hutchinson is set to leave the reseller, after setting up a business with sales of over £35m in two years.
Posting on LinkedIn, Hutchinson (pictured) said he has taken the decision to step down, following PCM's acquisition by fellow US reseller Insight.
"With the recent acquisition and the combined efforts of the two organisations coming together, I am confident that the newly joined companies under the Insight brand will together succeed in their goals and strategy," he said.
"After working endlessly as a team to build the PCM UK brand, we have accumulated a number of key accolades while building a reputable brand delivering bespoke solutions for our customers and helping them on their digital transformation journey."
Hutchinson was PCM UK's first employee when it was launched in 2017, and he has led a team that now compromises over 200 staff members, he said.
The UK business has also made sizeable acquisitions in the form of Cisco Gold partner Provista and Stack Technology Holdings.
According to full accounts filed with Companies House earlier this month, PCM UK reported sales of £35.6m.
Insight announced its surprise acquisition of PCM earlier this year, with CEO Ken Lamneck saying the move would give Insight a route into the US mid-market.
