ASL snaps up print supplier as M&A streak continues
Managed print provider makes fourth acquisition in two years
Acquisitive managed print provider ASL Group has continued its M&A spree with a deal for Smart Print Technology.
Smart Print is a provider of industrial and commercial print equipment based in Hertfordshire. The business was established in 2003.
Mark Garius (pictured, right), managing director of ASL Group, said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome Smart Print onboard; its expertise will add significant value to our team.
"In a growing market we are finding that more and more customers are asking for the availability of choice.
"As we strive to be the largest independent production print provider in the UK, this acquisition will provide our customers with a host of new benefits, strengthening our position as the go-to supplier."
ASL reported sales of £21.4m for the year ending 30 September 2018, a year-on-year increase of 7.5 per cent, and says for the year ending 2019 were £28m.
The takeover is the firm's fourth in two years and follows its most recent deal in July, for document management specialist Reprotec.
Richard Fyson (pictured, centre), director of Smart Print, said: "We are delighted to join ASL Group and recognise that it will add further value to the business.
"ASL's structure and resources will help to improve the customer experience and grow our reach into the market. We are looking forward to joining forces with the ASL team as we combine our range of services and expertise of the two companies."
