Softcat among seven resellers on £6bn healthcare framework

Framework will facilitate the purchase of hardware, software and services

Seven resellers have won a spot on a huge £6bn healthcare framework that will deliver hardware, software and managed services.

HealthTrust Europe's ComIT2 framework will last for an initial two-year period, with the option to extend it by two one-year periods.

The framework will provide "bespoke IT solutions to the UK public sector", HealthTrust Europe said.

The seven resellers that successfully bid are: CDW, Computacenter, Insight, SBL, SCC, Softcat and XMA.

Andy Bruen, strategic relationships manager at Softcat, said: "Unlike its predecessor, the ComIT 2 framework is presented to customers as a single Lot, which means customers will benefit from a simpler, cleaner and more agile procurement process.

"Softcat looks forward to continuing its journey of delivering genuine value and procurement efficiency to ComIT 2 customers.

"This framework is accessible to customers in the UK's healthcare and wider public sector marketplaces."

The framework will cover broad areas of hardware, software and services, but also more specialist products in spaces including audiovisual and cybersecurity.
