CCS releases initial details of G-Cloud 12
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has published initial details of the twelfth G-Cloud iteration.
According to CCS website, G-Cloud 12 is set to be awarded in July, the same month that its predecessor ends.
G-Cloud 11 went live last year and is due to expire on 1 July. CCS does however have the option to extend it by two 12-month period.
CCS said that G-Cloud 12 will be divided into the same three Lots: Cloud Hosting, Cloud Software and Cloud Support.
G-Cloud 11 was largely considered to be a re-run of G-Cloud 10, with CCS running a short application process.
Around 700 suppliers were added, taking the total to 4,200, with CCS championing the presence of SMEs on the framework.
CRN analysis carried out in September found that more than two-thirds of suppliers on G-Cloud 10 did not transact any business, with the top 10 suppliers snagging a quarter of the total business put through the framework.
CCS said on its website that the contract notice for G-Cloud 12 will be published next month.
