Charterhouse snaps up networking specialist

NETconnection acquired for LAN capabilities

Comms supplier Charterhouse has snapped up managed service provider NETconnection to boost its networking credentials.

NETconnection is a LAN and SD-LAN specialist, Charterhouse said, with over 30 members of staff and more than 100 customers.

NETconnection lists vendors including Microsoft, HP, Darktrace, Unifty and Thoughtonomy as partners on its website.

Charterhouse CEO Mark Brooks-Wadham said: "We're delighted to have found NETconnection - an organisation comprising an exceptionally talented team harnessing great LAN capabilities that will allow us to complement and develop our existing product and services offering to our diversified customer base.

"We're excited about integrating our two teams to further enhance the support and services that we can offer our customers."

Charterhouse, which received the backing of investment firm August Equity in November 2018, reported sales of £23.7m for the year ending 30 November 2018 - a year-on-year increase of 15.5 per cent.

NETconnection, which was founded in 1998, does not publish its revenue in its full accounts.

CEO Tony Brar said: "Our customers were increasingly looking for a consolidated approach to solutions through a single partner.

"We wanted to find an organisation that we could be part of who would allow us to offer more of what our customers required, thus providing greater scale as well as a strong presence in the private sector, while still preserving NETconnection's core expertise and capabilities. We've found the ideal organisation in Charterhouse and believe this will strengthen the service and support we currently provide to our existing customers."
