New channel sales lead at HPE

HPE merged its sales divisions in the UK last year

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has appointed a new channel sales leader responsible for its Platinum, Gold and Silver partners.

Lewis Simmonds has risen through the ranks since joining the original Hewlett Packard as an account director in 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Simmonds (pictured) said: "I'm excited to accept the role of UK channel sales leader and to further my career with this opportunity at HPE.

"I'm looking forward to driving our channel forward in my new role as we scope not only for today, but for the channel of the future."

In his new role, Simmonds will manage both field and inside channel sales teams, as well as specialist storage and hyperconverged teams.

"Lewis brings huge experience and connectivity to HPE's channel, a passion for cultivating a winning culture, and has proven success in developing sales talent," HPE said.

Last year HPE merged its sales teams together under the leadership of former channel boss Mark Armstrong, who is now UK sales vice president.
