Apple reseller JTRS storms £20m framework
Jigsaw24 and Western Computers among other partners to feature on new tech framework for education and public sector organisations
Apple partner JTRS is the biggest winner on a new £20m public sector framework, securing a berth on 11 of its 12 Lots.
Aimed at both education and public sector customers, Pagabo's ICT Solutions Framework covers a variety of hardware, software and learning solutions, and runs for a maximum of four years.
According to a tender notice published in October, it boasts an estimated purse of £20m.
Cheadle-based Apple, Google and Lego partner JTRS made the cut for all but one of the 12 Lots of the framework, which comes on the heels of the award of Crown Commercial Service's £550m Education Technology Framework last year.
The Lots cover learning solutions across Apple, Microsoft and Google devices, as well as parental contribution and mobile device management software, networking and VoIP solutions, and STEM innovation products.
Western Computers and Jigsaw24 were picked for six and five Lots respectively.
Providers were required to undergo a "rigorous" OJEU compliant tender process, and prove strong finance and relevant experiences.
Simon Toplass, CEO at Pagabo, said: "We are delighted by the amount of interest there has been for this iteration of the ICT Solutions Framework, and the providers selected reflect the quality of the applications received.
"It is a big challenge for schools and other educational bodies to find reliable suppliers and deliver value for money, all while going through a fully-compliant and transparent procurement procedure. With this framework, we make the whole process simple and efficient."
