COVID-19's channel impact in eight graphs

Over 60 per cent of respondents to CRN's first coronavirus snapshot survey have encountered heightened demand for their products and services in the last seven days

COVID-19 has sparked both short-term demand spikes and upheaval for channel pros, CRN's first snapshot survey of how the crisis is impacting our market confirms.

The first of our regular polls on how the crisis is playing out among our readers reveals that over 60 per cent have encountered heightened demand for their products and services over the last seven days.

Over 80 per cent report higher than normal demand for comms and collaboration, with demand levels for client hardware, cloud infrastructure and security also spiking as customers adopt remote working.

But with the UK in lockdown for a second week, and global infections continuing to spiral, the overriding emotion in our industry is one of uncertainty.

Around two out of five have even seen instances of competitors profiteering from the crisis.

Our inaugural COVID-19 channel snapshot reflects the views of over 50 channel pros on Friday and Monday. See the full results below. Be part of the second snapshot survey here.
