Five reseller bosses on why they're excited about returning to offices
Execs from Softcat, CCS Media, Block, Bytes and Logicalis talk through what they'll be doing first when offices reopen
The channel adapted incredibly quickly when offices were shut, and has been able to continue serving its customers relatively seamlessly in a remote set-up.
But that doesn't mean that people aren't excited about the prospect of returning to offices when it is safe to do so.
As part of our first DeskFlix episode we asked five resellers bosses what they are most looking forward to about returning to the office. All of the DeskFlix content is available to view online by clicking here.
Colin Brown, managing director, Softcat
"Yeah, it's a big, long list of things, isn't it? I find it if I think about that, it's a lot of little things rather than one big thing. It's just the chat... what's going on with their lives and the family, talking about sport, football, whatever it is that people are interested in, nipping down the road to a coffee shop with people and having a chat as you do that along the way, you know, a lot of all cultures is unwritten and it's implicit.
"It's between the lines and it's all those sort of things that I can't wait to get back to just that human contact with people and feeling like you're one team and you're all together. But yeah, if it's one thing, it'll be just the people really, it always will be. It's about the people. It's about interacting with people and having fun with people and then giving something back to them as well."

James Hardy, managing director, CCS Media
"Being in an office but being able to have a cup of tea and you know, have a chat with people; talk to them about their lives. You can have a chat with people now and we can do it very, very easily in this platform but actually the experience of walking through an office and you know, having a cup of tea, having a chat with people socialising.
"I think that's that's something I'm looking forward to and it's quite a rarity for me to say this, but I'm actually looking forward to going out having a beer with some people so it's not in the office, but it's after work that I think that would be much, much appreciated when we all have the ability to do it."

"I think probably going out socially with all of them and having a beer I think is probably the one thing that everyone is probably really looking forward to I'd imagine.
"Being able to just hopefully not within two meters of each other but within slightly closer proximity than that and to share share a drink with them."

Neil Murphy, managing director, Bytes Technology Group
"Yeah, from my perspective, we'd had a big sales incentive ski trip planned for about 30 people and there was huge disappointment when obviously that was cancelled.
"So I think a big party wouldn't go amiss. Summer's coming up, or summer is here by the looks of it, so yeah, I think I'd agree with Mark in a nice social gathering. Optional, of course.

Integrating back into physical teams. And no matter what this new next normal looks like, you're never going to get away from people enjoying being with other people and spending time whether that's, you know, talking about the return of the Premiership or I actually started watching the German league the other day, I think I was that desperate
So that was I think that is really mixed. I do enjoy speaking to the team, listen to the team, you know, and really, just, whether it's work or personal, and also a beer garden right now would be amazing. So yeah, I'm with you on all of those.
