Host of partners make it onto £250m NHS security framework
Firms including Softcat, MTI and Logicalis make the cut
Softcat, Logicalis and MTI are among the 25 suppliers listed on the new NHS Cybersecurity Services framework.
The framework has an estimated value of up to £250m and runs until February 2024. Other reseller names on the supplier list include Trustmarque, CGI, NCC and Novosco.
The framework was devised by NHS Shared Business Solutions (NHS SBS) in conjunction with NHS Digital and gives organisations in the NHS more options and a list of approved suppliers for their cybersecurity needs, alongside those already offered by NHS Digital.
The framework is made up of three Lots. Lot 1 is focused on Emergency Cyber Incident Management and has an estimated total value of £90m and 11 suppliers. Lot 2 is centred on Cybersecurity Consultancy Services and has a total value of £80m and 19 suppliers, while Lot 3 is focused on Security Personnel, also with a total value of £80m and 15 suppliers.
"As is always the case with framework agreements, the headline-grabbing ‘£250m' value should be treated with caution as there is no guarantee that successful suppliers will win any business through the agreement," noted Tola Sargeant, managing director at Tech Market View.
"Nonetheless, NHS SBS is becoming a popular ‘hub' for frameworks and the range of suppliers represented in this framework is likely to make it appealing to NHS organisations looking for additional cybersecurity support, particularly when time is of the essence."
