Microsoft and NTT Data announce global cloud partnership

Azure will become NTT Data's preferred cloud provider

Microsoft and NTT Data have partnered in a global deal which will see Azure become the service providers preferred cloud partner.

The tie-up is an extension of an alliance between the vendor and NTT Data's parent company, NTT Corporation, announced late last year.

Simon Williams, CEO at NTT Data UK, said: "NTT DATA prides itself on creating long-term relationships with clients and partners alike, and this partnership with Microsoft further consolidates our ongoing collaboration.

"We are looking forward to working closely with Microsoft to develop a relationship where we can help and learn from each other, in order to provide the best digital solutions available to our customers.

"This partnership will strengthen our capabilities to service organisations during this turbulent time. By offering platforms and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, NTT Data will help businesses become more people-centric and support their digital transformation journeys as they move towards a hybrid way of working, where teams are located both in the office and remotely."

The pair claimed that the partnership will accelerate the digital transformation of enterprise customers.

It will enable workplace innovation to maximise the productivity of employees, the two businesses claimed.

Microsoft VP Alex Simons said: "Through this collaboration we look forward to combining NTT DATA's global infrastructure and services expertise across industries with the power of Microsoft Azure and our productivity tools to create new opportunities and value for our clients by helping them quickly digitally transform their business.

"Together, we will continue exploring new solutions opportunities and added value for our clients."
