Cat thrown among the pigeons in UK Check Point channel

Softcat has become just the third Check Point elite partner in the UK.

The reseller said the rise to the top tier of the vendor's partner programme is reflective of the investment it has made over recent years.

Matthew Helling, head of cybersecurity services at Softcat, said: "At Softcat we pride ourselves on being a people first business.

"The Check Point Elite accreditation really highlights the strength of the relationship we have built over the years. I am incredibly proud of the unique partnership we have with them and that it has been recognised in this way.

"This step forward in our strategic relationship will enable us to further strengthen our offering, improve the overall customer experience and provide even more value to our customers."

The top tier of the cybersecurity vendor's programme is invitation-only, with Softcat joining Bytes and Pentesec in the UK.

Softcat said it has been a Check Point partner for 15 years and said it is one of the few in the UK to MSP status with the vendor.

Martin Rutterford, Head of managed channels UK at Check Point, said: "The Elite tier is reserved for those partners who make a significant investment in and commitment to Check Point, both technically and commercially.

"Softcat has achieved tremendous results, disrupting the competition and winning new business by working hand in hand with Check Point at all levels to deliver the most advanced security solutions and services available."
