OryxAlign appoints former Armed Forces officer as COO
OryxAlign has hailed its appointment of a COO as a "new and exciting chapter" for the managed IT services provider.
Former military officer Alistair Fawcett will "lead the daily drumbeat" of the London-based MSP in the new post.
He was a long-serving officer in the British military, where he held a senior strategic role across command, communications, cyber, technology and intelligence.
In a statement, Fawcett claimed his new post shares much in common with his previous career.
"While the environment and context are different, there is a degree of familiarity between my appointments in the Armed Forces and my role at OryxAlign," he said.
"I've spent my career focused on achieving a range of mission sets, overcoming challenges and developing capabilities using both technology and strong, dedicated teams - not too dissimilar from that of a COO. Well crafted and developed building-blocks are there for OryxAlign to realise its vision and I'm looking forward to playing a role in helping the team realise it."
OryxAlign claimed Fawcett's experience in managing defensive cyber security and resilience requirements is especially pertinent in the current cyber-threat climate.
"Alistair's appointment marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in OryxAlign's journey and reflects our commitment towards investing in strategic talent to drive our ambitious growth plans," said OryxAlign founder and CEO Carl Henriksen.
"He brings with him a wealth of transferable experience, fresh ideas and a new perspective on operational effectiveness, all of which will help us to continue to build on our success."
