Avanade appoints new European boss

Anna di Silverio fills role left vacant by departure of Darren Hardman

Avanade has named Anna di Silverio as its new European president, filling a role left empty by Darren Hardman, who left the company to join AWS earlier this year.

Di Silverio's appointment is effective from today and sees her take responsibility for a 5,000-strong team across 16 European countries, including the UK and will report directly to Avanade CEO Pamela Maynard.

She joined the Microsoft and Accenture=backed entity a decade ago as general manager of Italy, and since then has held the roles of COO of growth markets and, most recently, president of that division.

"After five years leading our growth markets business, I couldn't be more delighted that Anna will become our area president in Europe," said Maynard.

"Her ability to partner with our clients, to grow our business and prioritise our people will be critical as she leads our European business into its next chapter."

Di Silverio added: "I am incredibly proud of our team, our results and the positive impact we've made on our clients in growth markets.

"As organisations increasingly look to us to rethink and reimagine the future of their businesses, I am excited about the opportunity this move offers for cross-pollination of ideas from Growth Markets to Europe."
