Computacenter CEO on 'star performer' UK business and filling a gap in the US market

Mike Norris reveals plan to build a services-focused business across the Atlantic

Computacenter boss Mike Norris has opened up on the firm's growing presence in the US, revealing that he sees a gap in the market for a services player.

Speaking at Canalys Channel Forum, Norris said that he does not view Computcenter's competitors in the US to be the likes of CDW, Insight and World Wide Technology - all of which see services make up a relatively small part of their business compared to Computacenter.

The CEO was speaking as he awaits shareholder approval for the acquisition of Pivot which, if completed, would double the firm's US revenue.

In the video above, Norris also opens up on where Computacenter has seen growth throughout the pandemic, dubbing the UK business the "star performer".
