Zedsphere founder Yates lands EMEA role at services vendor
Rick Yates will be tasked with building out the MSP specialist's UK business and expanding its European presence
Zedsphere founder and former MD Rick Yates has joined MSP software vendor Axcient as its managing director of EMEA.
Yates previously held a role as sales and marketing director at Distology before leaving to develop managed services VAD Zedsphere in 2016. QBS Software acquired Zedsphere earlier this year.
Axcient specialises in business availability and disaster recovery software and Yates will take the helm as EMEA MD from 1 November.
"MSPs consistently tell us that when it comes to security, they want products that are easy to use, reliable, and well supported," he stated.
"Axcient has taken bold, impressive steps to meet these needs, and I am excited to engage with the growing Axcient EMEA partner base to help the MSP community deliver high-value managed security services for their clients."
Yates will build on Axcient's development plan in the UK and expand his focus on Europe with ultimate responsibility for all Axcient business activities across EMEA.
Axcient CEO David Bennett said of the appointment: "Rick is the right person to accelerate our growth in EMEA, as he has a proven track record of success with MSPs in the European market.
"He is highly regarded in the industry and has a plan to bring our technology to channel partners throughout Europe. We are thrilled to welcome him to our team and look forward to Axcient's expansion and development in the EMEA region and globally."
