Tech Data launches new Microsoft CSP programme

Distie says programme is part of a "sustained investment" in public cloud

Tech Data has launched a new programme to help partners get trained up as Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSP).

The distie said its Velocity programme is part of a "sustained investment" in the Microsoft ecosystem, and will give the channel access to the sales and technology training content needed to become a CSP.

Tech Data also has separate programme that partners can follow if they are at an early stage of developing their public cloud offering.

Simon Bennett, director of enterprise software and cloud at Tech Data UK, said: "The new Velocity programme will make it easier for CSP partners to get on board, building their Microsoft cloud sales and growing consumption income.

"If it works for them, they can take the Practice Builder route, if they have already developed a good capability and have experience in cloud, they can go straight into Velocity.

"Wherever they are today on their cloud journey, we can help them to move forward and develop and grow their business."

Tech Data also said it has made a number of key appoints to its CSP business over recent weeks, adding a host of new business development managers with Azure experience.

The team now houses 40 employees in the UK.

The distie said it is also looking to bolster its Dynamics practice before the end of the year.
