Dozens of resellers win spot on £500m framework
Framework will replace Lot 6 of Technology Products 2
A host of IT resellers have won a spot on a public sector framework valued at £500m.
The Technology Online Purchasing Content framework allows for the procurement of "low complexity technology products" and will replace Lot 6 of the Technology Products 2 framework, which expires next year.
A total of 62 suppliers have been awarded a place on the framework, which is due to run for an intial four-year period.
A list of products available via the framework, published in the tender document, included laptop, desktops, monitors, tablets, servers, switches and routers.
Suppliers were onboarded last week, according to Crown Commercial Service, with the framework due to go live on 19 November.
Simon Harbridge - CEO of Stone, which won a place on the framework - said: "With often limited time, budget, and resource to play with, it can be incredibly challenging for public sector organisations to source the equipment they need and find trusted and reliable partners that comply with necessary procurement regulations.
"The CCS framework simplifies this process and offers peace of mind for buyers so they can allocate their time more productively.
"As we navigate the challenges around the ongoing pandemic and the uncertainty ahead of us, this agility will be invaluable for these organisations and the vital work they carry out. We're ready to equip them with the tools and technologies they need to face the future head on."
Crown Commercial Service said the framework has been devised based on market feedback during the tender process of Technology Products and Associated Services, which went live last year.
It said that both buyers and sellers had expressed an interest in a separate catalogue-style framework.
Laura-Jane Turner, Sales Operations Director at Jigsaw24, said: "We are thrilled to have been awarded a place on this framework, which adds to the range of options that public sector buyers can choose from when looking for affordable, sustainable technology.
"We will soon be contacting our client base to help make acquiring Apple products even smoother with our support, and we are looking forward to delivering value for money projects across the UK with customers new and old."
