Exclusive Networks reports cyber breach across systems in five countries
French security VAD says systems in France, the UK, UAE, the US, and Singapore were affected
Exclusive Networks has detected a cyber breach affecting its systems across five countries, the cybersecurity distibutor revealed.
The Paris-HQ security VAD claims the breach affected its systems in the UK, the US, France, Singapore, and UAE.
In a statement to CRN, the distributor said the breach led to unauthorised access to data, but stressed that no customer or partner data is known to have been affected by the breach.
"There is no impact on Exclusive's day-to-day commercial operations."
"Exclusive experts and incident response team have taken immediate action to mitigate the breach and re-enforce its security position.
"Investigations and forensic analysis are ongoing to understand the complete extent of the breach, however no customer or partner data is known to have been affected by the unauthorised access."
In an update today, Exclusive Networks reiterated that it's business as usual. And that all of its global systems have been checked "to ensure their integrity and efficacy".
It added: "The company is in contact with all relevant regulatory and data protection authorities pursuant to GDPR. Exclusive employees have been advised to take all necessary steps and precautions."
Exclusive Networks is the latest in a string of security-focused firms to be hit by a cyberattack.
In the latter weeks of 2020, major hacks against FireEye and SolarWinds Orion were enough for the US National Security Council to be convened.
French channel firm Sopra Steria was also targeted, blowing a €50m hole in its operating margin after an attack in October.
