Five resellers secure places on £150m Welsh IT framework
Contract covers IT hardware to larger customer organisations
Five resellers have won spots on a £150m IT framework for the Welsh government.
The majority of the Wales IT Products and Services framework was awarded on 15 July 2020 with the exception of sub Lot 2b which was awarded this week.
The entire framework is worth an estimated £200m, with Sub Lot 2b worth the lion's share at £150m.
The Sub Lot covers the supply of IT hardware to larger customer organisations, including PCs and devices, network infrastructure, storage, servers as well as services included managed services, hardware consultancy services and maintenance and repair.
Centrprise International, Computacenter, Phoenix Software, Stone Computers and XMA were awarded places on the lot.
The Welsh National Procurement Service claims that 17 tender applications were received during the selection process.
The resellers were chosen based on a criteria that favoured technical expertise and price, while also taking into consideration sustainability and account management.
