Host of resellers awarded spots on CCS framework

Softcat, ANS and Bytes among over 3,000 suppliers named to new Digital Outcomes and Specialists framework

Softcat, Bytes, ANS and Computacenter are among the resellers who've won spots on Crown Commercial Service's (CCS) Digital Outcomes and Specialists framework.

The framework, now in its fifth iteration, expires on the 19 January 2022. It is comprised of four Lots: digital outcomes, digital specialists, user research studios and user research participants with some 3,340 suppliers being awarded places.

DOS 5 is designed to help the public sector buy, design, build and deliver bespoke digital solutions and services. CCS revealed that a third of spend through the previous four versions of the framework went directly to SMBs and that 94 per cent of the suppliers on DOS 5 are SMBs.

The public sector has spent over £2.5bn through DOS frameworks since 2016, with £800m of that spend going directly to SMB firms.

The number of SMBs firms on the framework is a result of the government's policy of "levelling the playing field" for suppliers of all sizes and works towards its goal to have 33 per cent of government spending going towards SMBs by 2022.

"Our Digital Outcomes and Specialists agreement continues to facilitate our customers' digital transformation while also creating opportunities for suppliers of all sizes," stated Patrick Nolan, technology director at CCS.

"By simplifying the application process as much as possible we are reducing the barriers that SMEs can face when seeking to supply to the public sector."
