Is Dominic Cummings launching a channel business?
Former chief adviser to Boris Johnson sets up new tech company billed as an ‘information technology consultancy’
Boris Johnson's former chief adviser Dominic Cummings has set up an IT consultancy firm in the UK, a Companies House filing shows.
Founded on 25 February, the new venture is billed as an "information technology consultancy", Bloomberg first reported.
The company is called Siwah Ltd, sharing the same name as the desert oasis in Egypt, Oasis Wāḥat Sīwah, where Alexander the Great was made Pharaoh of Egypt.
The newly incorporated company is based in Belmont Business Park in Durham, with Cummings the sole named director in the Companies House filing.
Cummings left Downing Street as the UK Prime Minister's chief aide in November following an internal power struggle that led to communications director Lee Cain also resigning.
It is not the first time Cummings has set up an IT consultancy business on Companies House. In 2017 he set up a company called Dynamic Maps to provide "information technology consultancy services". The business was dissolved in October last year.
