Sharp Europe launches new IT services division to be led by Complete IT founder Blumenthal

The vendor says the new division with a pan-European IT service helpdesk establishes its status as a “digital transformation provider”

Sharp Europe has set up a new European IT services division following its acquisition of Swiss company ITpoint.

The new division will be led by Colin Blumenthal the firm's newly appointed vice president IT services Europe, and founder of UK-based VAR Complete I.T., which was snapped up by the print vendor in 2019.

"This is an important strategic milestone which will transform Sharp's business in Europe, and enable us to continue to invest and focus on growing a service portfolio that adapts to the changing needs of our current and future customers," Blumenthal said.

"Further expanding this new division of our business is a strategic priority, and we are excited to bring these new offerings and add value to our customer base across Europe".

As part of its IT services offering, Sharp has also established a pan-European IT service helpdesk, the European Technology Support Centre (ETSC) in Warsaw, Poland.

Working in conjunction with local operations, ETSC will support a base of national and multinational customers with various IT services, from cybersecurity to detection monitoring systems.
