Regulator Ofcom searches for sole supplier to take on £44m IT services contract

Broadcasting regulator launches IT services supplier for six-year contract

Broadcasting regulator Ofcom has launched a search for a supplier to take on an IT services contract worth up to £44m.

The government-approved regulator is running a procurement process to find an IT services supplier that is able to design, plan and deliver IT services across its user base.

The IT services contract will commence on 1 May 2022 and will run for four years, with the option to extend the contract by up to two additional years. Ofcom claims the contract's value is estimated to be between £25m and £44m over the life span of the contract.

The contract includes IT services related to everything from PC equipment and supplies, networking and software programming and consultancy services.

Ofcom claims it is looking for a tailored IT services delivery model with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity due to the "high profile and threat level" of the organisation.

The regulator uses systems including Microsoft's suite of applications including Azure and Office 365 as well as ServiceNow, Salesforce and Workday.

The deadline for requests to participate in the contract is 5 May.
