Infosec Europe set to return this summer
Security conference is among first industry event to announce a return after pandemic cancelled 2020
Infosecurity Europe is set to make a comeback this summer, with the security expo among the first major industry events to return to a physical format since the Covid crisis began.
The event's organisers, Reed Exhibitions, plan to hold Infosec 2021 on 13-15 July 2021 in its usual venue at the Olympia in London.
There will also be a virtual event held between 8-10 June.
Visitor registration for the event opened today, with the first keynote speaker announced as director general of GCHQ Robert Hannigan.
"Infosecurity Europe 2021 will provide one of the first opportunities in over a year for the information and cybersecurity community to come together face-to-face. By making sessions available via a mix of virtual and physical platforms we aim to make the event more widely accessible," said exhibition director at Infosecurity Group, Nicole Mills.
"Whether visitors attend in person or online, they'll have the opportunity to learn from the experts, explore the latest products and technologies, and build valuable relationships. We truly can't wait to meet everyone again, and finally celebrate Infosecurity Europe's 25th birthday. It may be a year later than planned, but we're looking forward to being back together as a community."
Infosec Europe 2020 was called off last April due to the pandemic, with its organisers initially claiming it would reschedule for a later date in the year.
The event attracts almost 20,000 attendees across three days and houses top cybersecurity vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet as well as smaller start-ups.
