Thames Water seeking resellers on £120m IT hardware and software framework

UK water supplier seeking ‘value for money’ resellers as part of two-lot framework

Thames Water is seeking a minimum of two resellers to form an IT hardware and software, software renewals and software asset management framework worth an estimated total of £120m.

The framework is split into two lots, the first focused on hardware services which is worth an estimated £10m, while the second lot, which concentrates on software services, is valued at an estimated £110m, both excluding VAT.

Requirements under lot two include software reseller services, management of software license, maintenance and support renewals and software disposal and is available to a maximum of three resellers.

Thames Water says it is looking for "value-for-money of reseller services, including access to special bid pricing; seamless supply provision; speed and accuracy of delivery; issue resolution; OEM relationships and accreditations and the capability to execute projects and provide added-value services."

Lot one features hardware reseller services, management of hardware maintenance and support renewals, hardware disposal, provision of standard hardware, ad-hoc purchases and datacentre hardware, with the body seeking one reseller.

The key requirements Thames Water highlights for the first lot are "value-for-money of reseller services, including access to special bid pricing; seamless supply provision and automated catalogue; speed and accuracy of delivery; issue resolution; OEM relationships and accreditations; capability to execute projects and provide added-value services".

Work will be "awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender" on an initial term of three years.
