Places available on £120m technology framework with Severn Trent Water

Severn Trent Water is looking for firms to provide software, hardware and program delivery services

Severn Trent Water is inviting suppliers to bid for a place on its £120m Technology Delivery Framework that will "deliver the majority of its technology maintenance and enhancement projects".

The framework is divided into two lots, with the first focused on end-to-end programme delivery and the second on software and hardware resell management.

Lot one will include but is not limited to; "advisory services and strategy development, design, build, implementation, configuration, integration, testing, hyper-care, ongoing application support and maintenance, first and second line support and operational support".

Contracts for lot one may either be awarded "for an entire programme of work" or instead for "individual services" to address "smaller, stand-alone requirements".

Meanwhile, "hardware and software selection services, hardware and software resell (inclusive of professional services, support and maintenance) and hardware and software renewals management" are the requirements listed under the second lot.

"A preferred supplier may be awarded for lot two to manage the ongoing renewals and resell of any additional software, licenses and products for pre-existing hardware and software solutions across the utilities' estate," the tender says.

"Lot two providers will also identify new hardware and software solutions based on the utilities' requirements and subsequently manage the resell and any ongoing renewals of the chosen solution, inclusive of licenses, products, support and maintenance services and professional services required for configuration/implementation.

"In addition, lot two providers will manage the ongoing renewals for any hardware and software solutions procured via lot one."

Severn Trent Water is hosting a PIN workshop on Thursday, 15 July where prospective bidders are invited to attend to learn more about the framework and participate in individual feedback sessions.
