QBS boss gives top tips on reaching carbon neutrality
Having achieved carbon net neutrality status, distributor QBS is aiming for absolute net zero and B Corporation status
The CEO QBS Technology Group says the distributor's formal certification as carbon neutral has "resonated across the industry", and has urged others to make the leap.
Talking to CRN, Dave Stevinson gives his top tips on how firms in our sector can make progress on reducing their carbon footprint.
As of last month, QBS was independently verified as net carbon neutral, with its carbon footprint certified at a "modest" 34.2 tonnes.
But the race for net zero is fraught with confusion, ambiguity and greenwashing, as Stevinson acknowledges in our video interview with him above.
"We got a little bit frustrated seeing some of the larger companies on the news greenwashing. So we decided to do something about it. And we made net carbon neutral, and absolute zero a priority for the organisation," he said.
"Hopefully, this can be a tipping point for the channel."
