EY continues Microsoft Gold acquisition focus with Seaton Partners purchase
Acquisition of Seaton Partners follows Pythagoras Communications deal earlier this year
Ernst & Young (EY) has snapped up another Microsoft Gold partner with the acquisition of IT consulting firm Seaton Partners.
It marks a continued focus on acquiring Microsoft Gold partners from EY, having bought Maidenhead-based Pythagoras Communications earlier this year.
Seaton Partners is a Microsoft Dynamics Gold Competency Partner, focusing on Dynamics 365 Business Applications, including finance and supply chain management, HR and Power Platform.
It adds to EY's existing Microsoft offering, with the EY Microsoft Services Group holding Gold competencies across Azure, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 clouds.
Alison Kay, managing partner for client service, UK & Ireland, Ernst & Young LLP, said: "The acquisition will bring a range of new capabilities and skills to support EY clients across retail, government and automotive sectors.
"The acquisition is part of the wider EY growth strategy in the UK and Ireland and will further enhance EY tech services.
"In the last 18 months the acquisitions of AgilityWorks, Frank Hirth and Pythagoras have helped EY teams meet the changing needs and demands of clients."
EY claims the acquisitions supports its "ambition to meet the organisation's Microsoft growth ambition to expand EY capacity, capabilities and market presence across Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP".
Seaton Partners has one office in the east midlands and employs 39 people, serving more than 25 active clients.
Adam Seaton, Seaton Partners director and founder, said: "We are excited about joining a prominent organisation like EY.
"As we continue to build on our achievements over the last 10 years, the business of Seaton Partners coming into the EY organisation will enable us to offer clients further resources in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and support them on their digital transformation journey to success."
