Citrix appoints former VMware sales director as new Northern Europe VP
Carol Valette has also held roles at HPE, Cisco, WorldCom and IBM
Citrix has announced the appointment of Carole Valette as its new area vice president for Northern Europe, who will be responsible for sales and services operations in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.
She will report to Sherif Seddik, senior vice president and managing director for Citrix EMEA, and will work closely with the internal team and the partner ecosystem at Citrix to drive cloud adoption, as well as growth and development of the Citrix sales and services organisation within the region.
"It is a very exciting time to be joining Citrix," Valette said.
"I really look forward to my new role and working together with the local teams, customers and partners across Northern Europe to grow our joint business and strengthen the Citrix leadership position in the market."
Valette joins Citrix after five years at VMWare, most recently as senior director for commercial sales in northern EMEA, and succeeds Michelle Senecal de Fonseca in the role, who has been promoted to the role of vice president, Global Cloud Innovation Strategic Partnerships.
She has also held roles at HPE Software, where she was responsible for working with partners to drive EMEA channel sales, as well as Cisco, WorldCom and IBM.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Carole to the EMEA leadership team. Her extensive sales and leadership experience will prove invaluable for our next chapter in Northern Europe," said Seddik.
"She will be instrumental in supporting continued growth for the company and delivering the best outcomes for our customers, enabling them to deliver a consistent and secure work experience which allows employees to do their best work, wherever they are."
