HPE opens two new 'collaboration hubs' in the UK as part of work-from-anywhere policy
The business has also transformed its existing UK offices in both Bristol and Glasgow
HPE has opened two new collaboration hubs in the UK as part of its "edge-to-office" flexible working strategy which allows its employees to "work from anywhere".
The new UK sites are based in Reading's Winnersh Triangle and Manchester's Circle Square and have been designed to promote collaboration with meeting rooms, open seating areas and lounges as oppose to a "large volume of individual work desks", HPE says, and also include bike facilities, gyms, sports areas and showers.
HPE has also made similar changes to its existing UK offices in both Bristol and Glasgow.
"Our new collaboration hubs are designed to enhance team working and increase the value of the time we spend together," said Marc Waters, SVP and managing director for UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
"Trust and empowerment are core to our culture with a commitment to talent development and high performance. To stay ahead of our competition in the battle for talent, we have redefined our workspaces and policies to implement a bold edge-to-office vision.
"The workplace isn't a place as such, it's a culture. It's how we collaborate and ultimately, it's the way we do things. We continue to invest in tools and resources to keep team members connected and promote collaboration, for both in-person and virtual environments."
HPE's edge-to-office programme was announced earlier this year to give its staff the opportunity to work from anywhere, with the vendor claiming the policy enables "improved work-life balance, reduced transport time and the freedom to live anywhere" for existing employees as well as "expanding the talent pool available to HPE".
Last month, CEO Antonio Neri announced that the company's employees and any visitors will need to be fully vaccinated before entering any of its sites or attending business events.
