SoftwareONE acquires UK SAP specialist Centiq
Acquisition of Nottingham-based firm will boost SoftwareONE’s SAP Services practice in Europe
SoftwareONE has acquired a UK-based SAP partner Centiq as it looks to bolster its own global SAP Services practice.
Founded in 1998 and based in Nottingham, Centiq is a certified SAP Services partner, an SAP Gold partner and, in 2011, deployed one of the first SAP HANA implementations in the UK.
It also claims to be one of the most experienced partners at implementing SAP on Azure.
Centiq's management team and staff will join SoftwareONE.
The company ranked #322 in CRN's VAR 350 report and produced revenues of £6m in its full year ending 31 March 2021, down from £6.8m in the previous year. It claims that recurring revenues represent almost half (49 per cent) of its total turnover.
EBITDA stood at £1.5m - up from £400,000 from 2020.
Although based in Nottingham, Centiq expanded into the US during its last financial year, opening a location in Atlanta.
The business was backed by LDC, which also invests in other IT services businesses including Onecom, Babble, Node4 and Kerv.
SoftwareONE, meanwhile, has completed a slew of acquisitions over the last two years to further develop its SAP Services practices, including buyouts of SE16N, ITST, ITPC, Optimum Consulting and BNW.
"We are thrilled to welcome Centiq to the SoftwareONE organization. Through this acquisition, we are continuing to strengthen our global SAP Services practice and extending our reach in the EMEA market. Centiq's incredible capabilities will equip our customers with the skilled guidance and solutions required to migrate to the cloud.
"In addition to the proven capability we are now adding to our global SAP Services practice, I am also greatly impressed by Matt and his leadership team. Centiq is a purpose-driven organization, and so are we; their collaborative approach and strong focus on delivering excellence makes them a perfect fit," said Daniel Da Vinci, global practice leader of SoftwareONE's SAP Services practice.
Matt Lovell, CEO of Centiq, added: "Becoming part of the SoftwareONE family is an exciting opportunity for both our customers and employees that extends our global reach and enables more organisations to benefit from our market leading SAP on Azure and native Azure expertise.
"The integration into SoftwareONE's global SAP Centre of Excellence enables our team to deliver even greater customer success and value, now with multi-lingual, follow-the-sun support. Joining SoftwareONE also further enhances our strategic alliance with Microsoft, amplifying our capabilities and putting Centiq in a stronger position to meet the ever-increasing needs of the market. On this occasion I would also like to thank LDC for their long-term support in helping us build the market-leading business Centiq is today."
