Northern Ireland-based MSP Xperience acquires Microsoft and Sophos partner Green Duck
'Growth across the UK is a strategic priority' - Iain O’Kane, CEO of Xperience
Northern Irish MSP Xperience has acquired East of England based Green Duck, an MSP which offers cloud, cybersecurity and other managed IT services.
Xperience's MD Iain O'Kane told CRN in June that the MSP, which provides digital, managed IT, cloud, ERP and CRM services, was looking to make at least three acquisitions as part of a plan to expand in the UK and double its revenues over the next three years.
The acquisition will "combine two businesses with a common focus on delivering the best digital transformation solutions for companies across the UK", Xperience says, while also delivering "synergies adding additional resources and experience to their collective client bases".
"Growth across the UK is a strategic priority for us, and Green Duck is a natural fit for our business with a similar culture and values," Iain O'Kane, CEO of Xperience said.
"Over the last two decades the team has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, and a strong track-record in client satisfaction. As part of Xperience, Green Duck will be able to access investment, a broader range of technical services, our dedicated Cloud service, plus a business that serves both the UK and Ireland.
"In addition, Green Duck business complements our existing cloud, cybersecurity and managed IT solutions. These are providing our clients with mobile and agile working, strengthened data security and putting data at the centre of their businesses.
"With the advent of hybrid working and the ever-changing cyber threat landscape, the acquisition of Green Duck provides Xperience with the opportunity to expand significantly in this area. We look forward to welcoming the Green Duck team to the Xperience family."
It will also see Xperience add another office, based in Bury St Edmunds, to its existing bases in Lisburn, Peterborough and Glasgow, while its headcount will grow to 123 and its annual turnover to approximately £16m.
Green Duck counts Microsoft, Veeam and Sophos among its vendor partners and the combined company will serve more than 1100 clients, typically ranging between 10 and 100 users, across the UK and Ireland.
Rod Jackson, CEO of Green Duck, said: "We are proud to announce that Green Duck will be joining Xperience.
"As part of Xperience, our clients will continue to benefit from the services of Green Duck and have access to a broader range of resources plus the ability to support clients' needs across the UK."
