BDR Group adds to managed services arm with Maple Computing acquisition
Surrey-based Maple counts IBM, Lenovo and NetApp among its partners
Stratford-based IT and telecoms reseller BDR Group has bolstered its managed services and enterprise portfolios with the acquisition of Maple Computing.
The business has been on a spree of acquisitions this year - also acquiring ACR in Greater Manchester, Boffins in Buckinghamshire and Integratech in Worcester - and says its latest deal will add "in-depth knowledge of IBM's storage, security, AI and cloud compute services".
"For me, the biggest draw to Maple was their amazing culture. Their passion for customer-focused conversations and service matches perfectly with ours," Malek Rahimi, managing director, BDR Group, said.
"At BDR Group, we are one big family all striving for excellence on behalf of our customers and staff, and we can't wait for Maple to join us on our journey."
Surrey-based Maple also counts Lenovo, Halcyon and NetApp among its partners and offers infrastructure solutions, managed services and data management, as well as other services.
BDR claims the acquisition will grow the group by 20 per cent over the next 12 months due to Maple's "long-lasting partnerships with some of the largest logistics and finance business in UK" and said that the business will "carry on as normal".
"Having met the team and gotten to understand BDR Groups mission over the last 12 months, I can't think of a better combination," said Jamie Cozens, director of Maple Computing.
"Together, BDR and Maple will be able to offer enterprise clients the entire tech-stack they require for future-proof, flexible infrastructure that drives business growth."
