Sync and Academia win spots on Apple's higher education framework
The Apple HE agreement provides a supply, consultancy and support channel for all UK higher education institutions
Sync and Academia have both announced that they have been awarded spots on the latest iteration of the National Framework Agreement for Products Using Apple Native Operating Systems, Associated Accessories and Services.
The Apple HE agreement provides a supply, consultancy and support channel for all UK higher education institutions, allowing them obtain quotations from and place orders with trusted suppliers across a range of Apple products.
It will allow Academia - which has been named to the framework five years running - and Sync to provide a range of Apple Solutions to member institutions, and their staff and students.
"We're delighted to maintain Rank 1 status, we knew there would be more partners applying this time around, so we had to work hard at ensuring our current customer base were receiving the very best value-added partnership," Mark McCormack, chief commercial officer, The Academia Group said.
"We've maintained Rank 1 for five years and have seen the framework mature over the years. The vast majority of universities are now truly receiving the value add and choice they desired six years ago.
"It was not easy at the outset, particularly when we were competing with a seamless online store by the manufacturer, but over time we have managed to develop operations in house which include our own IT Asset Disposal company and have invested heavily in the back-end technology to allow us to transact efficiently and dove-tail into every university's procurement system via a range of integrations."
And Scott Bordoni, head of operations at Sync, said: "By joining the Apple HE framework, Sync has become part of a dedicated group of Apple specialists, renowned for delivering technical excellence to higher education institutions across the country.
"Our appointment allows us to do even more in the higher education space, supporting more institutions, and helping them to enhance the impact of Apple within their organisations."
