Nasstar launches standalone channel business following KCOM acquisition

Poole-based MSP Nasstar has created a new standalone business unit for its channel of 600 partners.

The launch of Nasstar Channel follows the acquisition of the national ICT services business of KCOM in August, which Nasstar claims makes it "one of the largest independent providers of managed services in the UK".

Nasstar Channel will have its own unique brand and identity separate to that of the rest of the group, the MSP formerly known as GCI says, and will be "dedicated to the success of its 600 partners".

"Now the acquisition is complete, we wanted to turn our attention to our partners. To do this, we've broken the channel away from the rest of the business to focus on what our partners really need," Dave Hawkins, head of sales for Nasstar Channel, explained.

"We are investing heavily in our technology, boosting automation and innovation. With a rapidly evolving portfolio of solutions and services, we are striving to become a single source of partner solutions for the channel.

"We're also removing the complexity, making it easy to do business with us, providing our partners with the tools, training and expert guidance to maximise their potential and add value for their customers."

Benefits for partners will include "paper free automated processes with easy onboarding online", training and technical support and a new partner portal.

Nasstar also says it plans to "further refine" its services and engagement and enablement strategies to "extend the reach and potential of its channel partners".

"In a constantly evolving marketplace, customers are making the journey from legacy to new technology and are at various stages in their transformation," Hawkins added.

"It's complex and they need strategic advice and solutions to help get them there. We have the technologies and services customers need and with access to all the major vendors, we are offering best-in-class features, functionality, and expertise born out of decades of experience."
