AWS channel boss to leave role
AWS confirms that Doug Yeum will change jobs
AWS has confirmed that its head of worldwide channels and alliances, Doug Yeum, is leaving the role to take up a new position with Amazon.
Amazon did not say what his new role would be but confirmed that he would be changing jobs within the company.
Yeum has been head of worldwide channels and alliances for the past two-and-a-half years and before that held the roles of technical advisor to the CEO and as the company's general manager for Korea.
He has also previously worked for Google as its managing director for Korea.
AWS recently announced its third quarter results which saw revenues swell 39 per cent year-on-year to $16.11bn despite Amazon missing its overall expectations.
The cloud provider did not say when Yeum is expected to take up his new role or when a replacement would be appointed, only that he would be leaving his current role overseeing the vendor's partner organisation.
