Boxxe CRO Berwitz departs

The chief revenue officer of Microsoft partner and MoD specialist boxxe has left the company.

Joel Berwitz departed boxxe on 10 December, sources have told CRN.

After joining boxee in 2019 as digital solutions director, Berwitz was promoted to the CRO role in August 2020.

He previously held roles at Kelway and CDW between 2011 and 2019, where his most recent position was as head of cloud services sales.

Commenting on his departure, Berwitz said: 'I really enjoyed leading such a great team in my time at boxxe, and I've no doubt of their success in the future. Making the decision to move on was really hard but I'm excited about what is around the corner in 2022"

In a statement, a boxxe spokesperson said: "We can confirm Joel has left boxxe and we wish him well for the future. We are excited about our team and what we can achieve in 2022"

York-based Boxxe ranked #16 in CRN's Top VARs with revenues of £238.3m for calendar 2020, up 16 per cent year on year.

Berwitz's promotion to CRO came just before the business rebranded to boxxe from its previous name SBL.

Speaking to CRN around the time of the rebrand, boxxe CEO Phil Doye said that the name change came at a time when the MoD specialist was gearing up to enter the corporate market.
