Softcat joins host of vendors in Glassdoor's 2022 top 50 places to work rankings

Reseller named alongside Salesforce, Microsoft, VMWare, Dell and others in 2022 list

Reseller giant Softcat has joined a multitude of vendors in Glassdoor's top 50 best places to work UK 2022 rankings.

Glassdoor publishes the list of the 50 best places to work in the UK annually. The annual list is based on feedback and reviews left by current and former employees, who rate them according to a five-point scale. best companies are ranked based on the overall rating they achieved in the past year.

Marlow-based firm Softcat was the only reseller to make it onto the list, ranking at number 31, a fall from last year's fifth-placed finish.

Softcat was praised for its "full investment" in employees, its culture, supportive management, career progression opportunities and work/life balance among other things.

The company joined large multinational IT vendors such as ServiceNow which was crowned the best place to work, followed by AND Digital in second with Salesforce taking third place on the list.

VMware was placed eight, Facebook, now known as Meta, retained its position in the top ten by ranking tenth, while Microsoft finished just outside at 13^th.

Apple, however, was unable to hang onto its place in the top ten and fell to 23^rd, behind vendors like Dell in 15^th, Google in 18^th and SAP in 19^th.

Cisco came in at one spot behind Softcat at 32^nd, with Sage, Kainos and Capgemini Invent also making it onto the list.
