SCC signs five-year extension with HMRC worth £91m

A new contract will extend long-term partnership by at least another five years

SCC has won a contract worth £91m with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), extending its existing partnership by at least another five years.

The contract will see SCC provide IT software and services to the tax authority in partnership with IBM.

It marks an extension of a previous five-year Customers Declaration Processing (CDP) contract with HMRC, first signed in 2016, by an additional five years with the option to extend by a further two years.

Head of public sector at SCC, Richard Reader, said: "We are thrilled to extend our contract with HMRC to deliver IT software and services that help this critical government department evolve its digital strategy.

"This new contract builds on the trusted partnership we have established over the past five years and demonstrates SCC's commitment to service excellence, despite challenging conditions created by the pandemic.

"Transforming to a digital landscape is the ambition of all government departments, and we are already helping customers on their digital transformation journey by architecting technical solutions, designing and running transformation programmes, and underpinning the resulting services through our network of service centres."
