Irish reseller Arkphire rebrands to Presidio as it eyes European expansion

Irish IT procurement and services firm Arkphire has rebranded to Presidio following its acquisition by the US reseller in 2020.

Arkphire was acquired by $3bn-revenue giant Presidio in November 2020 for an undisclosed sum, expanding its operations across the Atlantic for the first time.

Rebranding the Dublin-based business to Presidio marks a "key milestone" in combining the capabilities of both organisations and creating a global IT solutions company, Presidio claims.

The Arkphire business will become Presidio's "strategic hub" for international expansion outside of the US with an emphasis on the European and Asia Pacific markets.

"Today's announcement is a positive step for Presidio, our people, customers and partners as our substantial presence in Dublin, London and Singapore provides a strategic hub and platform for Presidio as we grow our business internationally," said Presidio CEO Bob Cagnazzi.

"It marks a significant step in the integration process of our acquisition of Arkphire last year, allowing us to provide an even more compelling offering across the full spectrum of IT services and solutions, including digital infrastructure, cloud and cybersecurity."

Presidio says it has committed to a recruitment drive to expand Arkphire's workforce of 317 staff by more than 10 per cent.

The additions will see the reseller add more than 30 staff across all lines of business including its Apple practice, cybersecurity, cloud, digital workspace, networks, managed services and global IT procurement.

The new roles will cover positions in sales, IT procurement, logistics, specialist technical roles for cybersecurity, cloud architects for AWS and Azure, project managers and team leads.

Its UK and Singapore offices are also set to be expanded, with a new cloud services consultancy hub earmarked for the UK and a new office coming for its Singapore operations.
