Claranet signs five-year agreement with AWS
MSP will certify 1,200 cloud experts and establish a Cloud Centre of Excellence as part of new collaboration with hyperscaler giant
Claranet has signed a five-year agreement with AWS which will see it certify more than 1,200 cloud experts and set up a global Cloud Centre of Excellence.
The agreement marks "a new stage" in Claranet's collaboration with AWS, according to Claranet CEO Charles Nasser.
Claranet migrated its first customer to AWS in 2013 and became a premier-level Services partner and a Managed Services Provider partner with the vendor in 2016.
The UK-based MSP claims to have migrated more than 500 customers to AWS by 2020.
The new five-year agreement with AWS takes its partnership "to the next level" and will see it build a global Cloud Centre of Excellence around four practices: Security; Data; SAP; and Migration and Modernisation.
Claranet says it will develop solutions in its Innovation Lab to provide businesses with cutting-edge technology in cloud, data and security.
"We are delighted with this strategic agreement which marks a new stage in our collaboration with AWS. Our experts have been supporting organisations for over 10 years in their journey to the AWS Cloud. With this agreement, Claranet and AWS are working together to help customers realise the full promise of the cloud: enhanced innovation, joint investment in new offerings, and enhanced capabilities that will enable our customers around the world to accelerate and simplify their cloud transformation", said Nasser.
"We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with Claranet, which combines a robust services platform with experienced cloud experts who can help companies successfully migrate their applications to AWS. The extensive programme under our agreement will accelerate our relationship and enable Claranet to be even closer to customers' needs and specific local challenges", added Vittorio Sanvito, director of EMEA partner development organisation at AWS.
