Zoom launches new global partner programme
Partners will be categorised into one of three tiers of new Zoom Up programme in the second half of the year
Zoom has launched its new global partner programme, which will see its 8,000 partners reorganised under three new partnership levels later this year.
The Zoom Up Partner Programme is split into three competencies: Volume; Phone; and Customer Success.
It will reorganise its 8,000-strong partner base via three tiers based on their investment in Zoom: Enrolled; Sales; and Performance.
Enrolled partners will receive entry-level programme benefits, while the Sales tier can be obtained by achieving "certain requirements".
Top-level Performance status unlocks Zoom's highest level of benefits and can be obtained by completing one or more competencies.
Leading Performance-level partners will also have access to additional MDF, Zoom claims.
Partners can also gain role-based accreditations which will count towards partner status in the programme. Accreditations are split into three areas: Sales, Technical Sales and Post-Sales Technical.
The new programme has started to be rolled out to select partners, Zoom claims. All existing Zoom partners will be placed into the partner programme in the second half of this year.
In return, Zoom said partners will receive awards based on their level of investment in the programme. Rewards are split into three areas: sales and financial; enablement and engagement; and marketing benefits.
Sales and financial rewards include base discounts and deal registration discounts. Enablement benefits refer to partner education resources and business planning with an assigned channel account manager, while marketing benefits include partner messaging and branding, MDF and access to an enterprise virtual executive briefing centre (EBC) experience.
Approved and qualified Zoom Up resale partners will have access to its brand-new Zoom Phone Native with Zoom calling plans offer.
It means partners can purchase discounted licences from Zoom and provide multiple Zoom products through a single invoice.
The Zoom Phone Native offering will be available in Japan, the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany.
"Our partners are fundamental to our growth and success at Zoom, which is why we are constantly evaluating new ways to improve and offer additional benefits to our partner ecosystem," said Laura Padilla, head of global business development and channel at Zoom.
"Just as Zoom focuses on delivering happiness to our customers, we strive to deliver partner happiness, which is why I am extremely excited about the introduction of the Zoom Up Partner Program. The introduction of Zoom Up is the next phase in our continued evolution and demonstrates our commitment to joint success with our partners."
