Red Hat and Kyndryl team up to help partners 'advance IT automation for multi-cloud infrastructure'

Red Hat and IBM spinout Kyndryl have teamed up in a bid to advance IT automation for multi-cloud infrastructure.

The new strategic partnership will see Red Hat and Kyndryl offer integrated services and solutions based on the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

This will "automate critical workloads from the enterprise datacentre to the edge and across public clouds," the two companies said.

They added the move will help customers explore different automation technologies and managed services "to modernise core business applications and IT infrastructure".

Stefanie Chiras, senior vice president of partner ecosystem success at Red Hat, said: "Customers today are operating in increasingly diverse and complex IT environments, spanning on-premises datacentres to public and private clouds. Automated solutions and managed services are crucial for customers to effectively scale and manage today's hybrid multi-cloud landscape.

"Red Hat's collaboration with Kyndryl integrates automation with managed services to support customers across infrastructure, networking and cloud operations, alleviating the burden of manual IT operations and making it easier to grow into the future."

The move will see the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform become the primary enterprise automation solution across Kyndryl's infrastructure services.

Kyndryl will also be a leading service provider for the platform, a statement said.

The two companies said it will also establish an Ansible Innovation Centre to co-create solutions and "help customers realise hybrid cloud transformation by automating IT operations and services from the infrastructure level to the cloud and the edge".

This will include jointly developed playbooks, enablement and support based on the Ansible Automation Platform and Kyndryl infrastructure services.

"By increasing the integration of Kyndryl's leading infrastructure services with Red Hat's industry leading open hybrid cloud technology, we are better able to deliver services and technologies that work hand-in-hand to provide a more seamless customer experience," Stephen Leonard, global alliances and partnerships leader at Kyndryl, said.

" We look forward to working with Red Hat to help customers accelerate their ability to achieve true business agility through open multi-cloud solutions."
